Cosmetic finishes and building changes have different permit requirements
Seagoville's permit FAQ says permits are required for constructing, remodeling or enlarging buildings and other property improvements, but not for cosmetic painting, wallpapering, carpeting, cabinets or trim work, or for replacing fixtures on existing wiring or plumbing. When discussing a fire damage repair in Seagoville, describe scorched finishes separately from damage extending into the building. You can talk through the affected materials without having a complete repair plan.
Regular trash day includes a limited bulk and brush allowance
Seagoville's Solid Waste page says bulk and brush are collected weekly on regular trash day with an allowable weekly set-out of 3 total yards, and brush should be no longer than four feet, with branches no more than three inches in diameter, under 40 pounds, in a neatly stacked pile. Describe damaged furniture separately from materials removed during repairs when discussing cleanout. Pickup limits alone cannot establish whether a smoke-affected piece is worth treating.
Your own notebook can hold the damage list by room
Use a notebook you keep to list damaged belongings room by room, drawing on what you already know. Name the affected pieces under each room rather than sorting or throwing anything away while writing. An unfinished room list is enough to discuss during the call.
